The City of Landrum has a “Council” form of Government. The Council is composed of a Mayor and six Council Members who serve four year staggered terms. The Mayor and City Council are elected at large. The Mayor serves as representative of the City and is the presiding officer at the Council meetings. The Mayor is a member of Council and has one vote with no Veto Power. The City Council is the legislative body of the City and adopts City Ordinances and amends them as they require. The Council appoints the City Administrator who handles the day to day operation of the City and Departments within the City.

City Council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. in the Landrum City Council Chambers. All correspondence to the Mayor and Council may be sent to the respective person at the Landrum City Hall.
