Landrum Announces the Annual Christmas Parade and Stroll

Nov 10th, 2008

This year the Landrum Area Business Association is trying something different for the annual Christmas Parade and Stroll. The Parade will be held on Thursday Decembet 4th at 5 pm and the Stroll on Saturday December 6th from 10 am to 5 pm during shopping hours.
Rain or shine the Parade route will be the same as last year. Line-up will begin at 4 pm at the Depot, travel down N. Trade Avenue and Rutherford Street, ending at O.P. Earle Elementary School. This year there will be a $10 entry fee to participate in the Parade. Proceeds will go to the scholarship fund established by the organization. Beginning in 2009, the LABA will award a scholarship to a deserving Landrum High School student.
Entry forms are available at The Mail Room, 156 N. Trade Avenue and at City Hall. For more information, contact Kathryn at 864 457-4121. To make the Stroll more of a shopping experience it will be held on December 6th. Participating merchants will be offering treats, carolers will be singing and Santa will be strolling. Watch the newspaper for more information on the day's activities. If your organization would like to participate musically, contact Melanie at the Flower Cottage at 864 457-3942.
